Check out this alevin! You can see its eye in the lower left and the yolk sac quite clearly! This picture was taken by a former student using a digital microscope with a 50x lens at Erma Stephenson Elementary.

Getting started!

Welcome to the Salmon In Your Classroom blog!  For years we've had the chance to post pictures and questions on our First Class conference, but with the move to Unified Communications happening soon, I thought it would be best to find a more permanent location to chat.

Bev, Bob and I will be delivering the Little Campbell eggs on Monday, December 15th so those classes should have their units up and running by now!

The delivery of the Tynehead eggs will be on Wednesday, January 4th so please make sure that your tank is ready for us... You can turn off the cooling unit, but please ensure that the air system runs over the break.

Remember you can find information on tank set up and other useful information at Bev's site http://www.salmonidsintheclassroom.ca/  or you can reach me directly at Ed Services at 604.595.5325
